lol may sound stupid but dont forget your phone charger if you are taking a cell phone! other then that, all i remember is walking, walking and more walking up and down the halls, so yes a robe is great unless you want your butt to hang out! lol my hubby grabed me some magazines, but mind you i was in for four days, i had other problems going on so it required me to say longer. Congrats and cant wait to hear and see how your journey goes! If you have any questions i am 17 months post op- ask away.

I'm going in tomorrow, too! I'm bringing baby wipes, my phone charger (phone has a kindle app), lip balm, tooth paste and tooth brush... Idk what I'm missing! Good luck to you! One girl on youtube said she bought a little spray bottle and had water in it and she was allowed to spray her mouth every hour... I'm not sure they want you to drink post op, but just thought I'd share.

Some nice cream for your face and hands, so that you feel and smell nice. Also photos of loved ones. Even if you are only away for a day or so, seeing their faces when you are feeling bad lifts you up.

Also take with you all love and support from your fellow sleevers.

I haven't had my surgery yet, but my manual says: Small overnight bag with toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and lotion; Bathrobe; address & phone book w/#'s for your loved ones; lip balm (I MUST remember this!!); comfortable, loose-fitting clothes to go home in. Clothes that are easily removed and easy to slip into are best.
    Hope this helps.
I will also be taking my Nook!
