5 months out and haven't lost anything in close to a month!

I am 5 months out and have lost about 65lbs thus far, however after getting under 200lbs I can't seem to lose anymore. For the past month, I've bounced between 195-200. What is going on? I am getting a little discouraged, praying I didn't go through this life altering surgery for 65lbs. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful and feel very blessed for the weight I've lost thus far however I'm only halfway there and wondering if anyone else has experienced this long of a plateau. If so what did you do to get out of it?

I've been doing the same thing. 193, 199, 193...I went back on plan and have noticed a difference. I'll let you know if I break 190 this week by going back to the 600-800, low carb. you might already be doing that.

I'm five months out as well and I haven't had all the stalls that I noticed people talking about.........up until about a month ago. For a month or so I lost nothing I went up and down the same three to four pounds. Well I got on the scale yesterday and noticed I had dropped two pounds below what I had been getting and another pound was gone today when I got on the scale. Yay!!!!!! I think my stall is over! Hang in there I hope it will pass for you as well.

When I had my stall, first I look at what I am eating. Is there enough protein? Is there too much carb? Too little calorie or too much calorie? Do I drink enough water? Do I get enough sleep? Then I also increase the intensity of my exercise to jump start the weightloss again.

When we lose weight, we need less calories. So we either need to eat less or increase activity to lose weight.

I'm 5 months out and have stalled for about a month. Sucks because I am stuck at 205. No luck breaking it yet. I tried high protein and very low carb but stopped because I was only getting about 600 calories in so I stopped that.

Im in a stall also. Im right at 179. My doc recommends me eating 600 calories a day up to no more then 800. Less then 20 carbs or 20 fats. Im killing it everyday in the gym. I guess my body is just stubborn.

Welcome to the dreaded stall! Don't change anything just keep doing what you were doing ( if you were behaving!) It will pass. That was when I stalled too. I am now 1 pound away from goal. Just hang in there it will pass, I promise!!!!

Sorry everyone I completely forgot to reply......mother of 5 year old twins brain. I managed to break the stall shortly after my original post. The scale dropped close to 10 pounds in a week then stopped again and continues to bounce back and forth again. I know it is temporary and it will be slow going from now on the closer I get to my goal. Thank you all for your support and advice, I am going to try the 5 day pouch test. Thank you all again!
