    Default Bigger sleeve?

I am almost 7 weeks out and I am able to eat more than my sister who is almost a year out. She thinks since I was a "lightweight" they took less of my stomach. Do they really do that? I havent lost a single pound in 4 weeks now. The first two weeks is the only time I have lost anything. I dont eat sweets or breads, but, I dont drink the shakes. I cant swallow them without gagging. And, the only thing I can really drink is 1% milk. I dont even like water anymore.

I don't drink the shakes and won't EVER! I can't stand them. What exactly are you eating?

I eat just about anything. No sweets or breads though. Eggs, fish, chicken, I do have peanut butter crackers some times, and a few bites of rice sometimes, I love broccolli. SF popcicles, Cheese, beef jerky. I think my problem may be that I dont drink enough, or that I drink too much milk? I am lucky to get in 40 oz of liquid a day. And thats making myself drink. But being in this stall has almost had me reach for a dessert a few times. (luckily I have not...yet) Its just so discouraging.

It's discouraging not to lose. I know. I hit my first stall 2 weeks out too. Are you counting your calories? I was eating 600-650 cals a day and went to my dr about the stall. Anytime you eat less than 800 cals a day, your body goes into starvation mode. You have to have 800-1000 calories a day to keep your metabolism up. Make sure you are not eating too many carbs. Try to make as much of your food protein rich as possible. Try to drink all day. If you are not into water, try to G2 gatorade or powerade. I love diet green tea. Red Diamond tea also has a sugar free version sweetened with splenda but it has caffine in that so I limit myself on that. I drink a bottle of green tea everyday and love the G2 and powerade. I also just recently started adding the Special K Protein water mixes to my water. Mix it up. Milk is good if it's skim or 1% but only has about 7g of protein in 8 oz. But regardless, make sure you are getting enough calories. That's really important.

I agree, count your calories for a week or two and see exactly where you are at. My Dr. told me to only drink 8 oz of skim milk a day and the rest should be water based so I drink SF ice tea. Keep your carbs below 60 grams a day and your protein above 60 grams a day. Watch the beef jerky intake also because it has a lot of salt in it.

You shoul at least get 40 oz. of liquid a day to.

Low calorie squash is a good way of upping your liquids if you don't like neat H2O.
