Happy New year all! Be safe out there. I am home for the evening, just me and the dachsies. Already put my night clothes on. LOL My friend who usually has a party couldn't because her dad tore the tendon off hi knee and had surgery yesterday. So I am home alone.

I haven't posted in a while. My excuse is being busy with family and friends over the holidays. I've been eating like I normally do, with the requisite Christmas cookie here and there. Our Christmas was fantastic! This is what I got for Christmas...

I am going to join Planet Fitness next week, and I don't really make resolutions; but I am going to up my exercise level again. I really know after a few years post op, it really helps to maintain if I'm more active w/exercise. I totally dislike the winter because I can't take as many walks as in the nice weather

Congrats Leesoim !! Bring on the New Year!!

It seems I had sinus disease for the last 20 years. It wreaked havoc and caused a LOT of bone and tissue damage. It wasn't till I started having some hearing loss that it was discovered. So I had Ethmoidectomies, Frontal Sinusotomty, Sphenoidectomies, Maxillary Antrostomies, Turbinate Resection, Nasal Septum Reconstruction, and Adenodectomy done on Monday to squeeze it in since I paid all my deductibles for the year. So I have lost all sense of taste post surgery except bitter (hoping this corrects or I will be eating tofu and shakes the rest of my life). I find Cream of Wheat to be warm and soothing. So despite coming home Wed. 5lbs heavier due to surgical IV fluids I have lost that 5 plus 3 more. Yeah . lol The best part is this afternoon when they scrape out all the scabbing. Ah the New me. LMAO.

Dinner: 3 oz chicken stir fry with mushrooms and peppers.

I was in the middle of a great post, and the lights went out I wish they didn't come back on, and maybe we had to go home. I'm not sure how I feel about working a full week...lol... I'm so used to being off or not working a full week for about a month. Oh well, "one day at a time."
I'm also going to "shake my eating" and get back to basics. I didn't even pay enough attention to what I was putting into my mouth during the holidays, but I'm back now I will continue to maintain my weight loss, and joined a belly dancing class for the next 8 weeks. Also, it's my "vow" to myself to exercise at least 4'xs per week. Not starting today because I have to get my nails done (priorities

St. michael, hope you feel better quickly. I know folks who had that surgery, and it isn't a "walk in the park." Continued success, and I agree with daschie; put a little protein powder in that cream of wheat
