TGIF!! It seems to be the "theme" of the day! It's such great weather here, and I'm loving it
B: not the usual... crunchy peanut butter & sf blackberry jelly on a pita pocket (craving it)
L: 2 mini crabcake w/chipolte mayo on the side, side salad (ordering out with some folks today)
D: not sure, going to local mall to pick out an outift that I'm wearing next weekend for a fashion show I'm in. My bariatric surgeon's office is sponsoring the event at the local mall. Expo/fashion event! I'm the emcee, and I'm very excited about spreading the word about how WLS can improve one's life!
S: 2 graham crackers w/laughing cow cinnamon cream cheese wedge and jelly

Hope everyone has a great day, and an even better weekend! ENJOY!!!

They had potluck at work today so I splurged a little and then over ate for the first time. I always try to eat under my sleeve so this won't happen again. I was miserable!

Breakfast 2 coffee's with FF creamer
Pot Luck: Three small baked chicken wings and two meatballs with light ranch dipping sauce
Dinner: Turkey thin sliced with melted pepper jack cheese
Snack: I will probably eat a snack later tonight too

I've been out of surgery well over a year, so my system can handle booze pretty well. I don't do it often, though, b/c bariatric patients, esp. sleeve patients are told to avoid booze b/c 1) It can make us sick, ask leesoim sometime 2) We often exchange one addiction for another, if we were food addicts. I know many of us are, but I don't accept that we all are 3) The sleeve metabolizes alcohol more quickly than our old stomachs, making us capable of getting drunker faster. End of lesson.

For dinner last night I finally cooked the damn lobsters, all 4 of them, and gave 2 of them to my neighbors who recently celebrated their anniversary and were real sneaky about not telling me. They loved the lobster, though, as did I. I have to buy them more often, cuz at Costco they're cheap.

Right now, nothing as I've just taken my thyroid meds and can't eat or take other meds w/ them. What my plans are today:

    Brekkie: The Usual

Lunch: Maybe another tortilla w/ cheese and pico de gallo

Dinner: Flour tortilla w/ bacon, avocado, and tomato.

B: OJ (Also on the No no list as it is a considered a "slider" foods as is any empty calories, milkshakes, juice, booze, etc.) but I was craving it.

    L: BLT in a tortilla
D: Sauteed cabbage in sesame oil

I am pretty sick of protein aside from cottage cheese and seafood but cottage cheese doesn't provide satiety for long. Also most vegetables I can eat once but can't seem to eat leftovers, i.e. broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower. Very frustrating.

When I get my next paycheck I'm going to try an all seafood diet, i.e. crab, shrimp, oysters, and whatever else sounds good. Oh, and for some reason, I never make them, but pork chops w/ applesauce sounds good. And I am craving a bacon cheeseburger w/ avocado. Lord I hope it goes away soon. I've been craving strictly salt w/ avocado and tomatoes, I'd almost think I was pregnant, but no, thank God! PMS will kick your ass, though, and I think that's what it is.

Dee Leshuz, question, I noticed you take your thyroid with no food or other medications. Why is that? I take thyroid med too, but I pop it with the rest of my meds and vitamins. I sent you a friend request to PM you about it, but I will just post it here since we log everyday.

    Today has been crazy so:

2 cups coffee FF creamer \ splenda
1 string cheese I shared with my dog
3 small chicken wings with yogurt dipping sauce

I'm not sure what will happen later so I will probably end up warming up a couple of turkey meatballs later

I really need to add some veggies into my life but I'm terrified of carbs right now.

We talk about everything here, Piper, don't worry about it. I take my thyroid w/ water and eat/drink nothing for 30 minutes b/c that's what my Droctor/pharmacist told me to.

PS. I don't think you should eat no carbs at all-what did your Dr. say? Did s/he give you an eating schedule?

It's not may doc's fault it's just I have been stalled so long it's depressing so I have been just eating protein. I know it's extreme. I ate carbs yesterday so I will see next Thursday if it helped kicked the weight loss in. I don't know what else to do, I have tried everything to get through this stall it won't move.

I may try taking my thyroid meds at night then instead with the rest of my pills and food. Thanks for the info!

Hi everyone. Watching the Emmy's while a pot of meatball soup is on the stove top, it smells delish, hope it tastes as good as it smells.

    B: coffee, protein shake

Yesterday I tried a grilled chicken sandwich from Chick-Fil-A - wow it was good! I took off the top bun so just had the chicken and bottom bun w/tomato, couldn't eat it all but it was delish.

Yes, alcohol is not worth it for me as a post op, but since prior to surgery I never cared for the taste of beer/wine/liquor ANYWAY, it was no great loss to me. But what happens is... imagine having the buzz, getting drunk, feeling nauseous, crashing and then needing to pass out (like, you absolutely cannot keep your eyes open no matter what you do). Now imagine all of that happening in less than an hour after having less than 1 shot worth of liquor. So yeah... I don't drink at all anymore. It's NOT that I get so horribly sick (I do have a wave of nausea, but nothing horrible, more annoying than anything), but it's more because I go through feeling all of that so fast, and then I HAVE TO pass out, well... just not worth it in my book.

    B: Jimmy Dean Delight Bowl
    L: Soup
    D: No idea.

lee! Good to see you, was hoping my name dropping would bring you back.

Piper, it would be better for you to talk to your own doctor (phone call, no need for a visit) about what s/he wants you to do w/ your thyroid rather than me. I'm pretty knowledgable about a lot of things but I'm not a doc.

So, dinner last night was a BLT salad. I'm feeling a little more sane about the bacon cheeseburger w/ avocado cravings, thank god.

    Today:

    Tea w/ 2%, 4-8 oz Fage yogurt

1/2 c. cottage cheese, 1/2 c. brown rice (I'll eat this over a few hours-it's too much at once.)

I have no idea. Would love some pork chops but, as some of you know I hate to cook.

I also hate Mondays and I'm really hating to work, ugh.
