So sorry to hear about your babygirl. I feel your loss. I had my FancyPants, a tri-colored Lhasa Apso, for 16 years and had to put him down, due to his health. I know it is so hard right now, but I would have given anything for Fancy to have just gone in his sleep, like your little Daisy girl. Know your baby is now in a better place. I know that you wouldn't have wanted her to struggle in any way.

Know that you are doing the right thing for yourself with regards to your surgery. I know its hard to look forward to anything right at this moment, but please think about yourself and what a wonderful journal that is about to start for you.

Be comforted in all the wonderful memories that you have of Daisy and what a wonderful little baby she was. We are all truely blessed to be allowed to have such wonderful, adorable, loving, and selfless creatures in our lives for the little time that we have them.

Daisy would want her Mom to continue on and take care of herself....
My heart is with you now. So sorry to hear about your angel...

Mea, I'm so sorry about Daisy. I'm sure she had a wonderful life with you and that you have many precious memories of joyous times with her by your side. I do agree that it's important to take good care of yourself, especially as you are grieving. I hope that my beloved doggies go in their sleep one night, because as heartbreaking as it will be to lose them, I dread that last trip to the vet's office...that's just selfish of me I know. And I'll do what needs to be done when the time is right. Poor Ole Bear-dog is 14 now, arthritic and tired all the time. Bless you, and good luck on your surgery. When you're home recovering, you will have plenty of time to reflect on how much Daisy enriched your life.
    Diane

I am so sorry about the loss of your precious Daisy. Pets bring us so much unconditional love which is hard to find anywhere these days. I am having surgery on Monday also. I had to leave my baby at home, he is a 110 lb. white, fluffy loverboy. He is haveing foot problems, so I am worried about him, but I know he is being well taken care of. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I know Daisy knew she was loved well and not all animals get that, so try to remember all the good times with happiness. Take Care!

I'm very sorry to hear about Daisy, Mea.
What an unimaginable hurt that I think about often (my dog is 10)
You sound like a wonderful pet owner who gave her an awesome life.
You have to give yourself an awesome life too!! I actually think that there is no better time than now to take action. It definitely is a double whammy but indeed a test of who you are. A test of your strength. Be strong and go through with your surgery.
    Take Care <3

    Sol

Mea, I'm also truly sorry about your loss. There are no better friends than our pets. But as everyone says, it's time now to do this for you. The timing seems horrible but then we just don't get to choose. Try to think ahead to when your heart is healed AND your body is healed and you're on to a new life. Your heart will be filled up again. I'm praying for your strength to get through all of this - you can do it. BIG hugs to you.
    - Peggy
