One year Out

So I'm a year out, feeling great, have lost over 130lb. Stopped loosing weight just before Christmas and have stayed static since then. But I'm quite happy, have gone from a dress size 24 down to a 12/14 (UK sizes). I'm at the gym every day, zumba 3 times a week and I'm taking on a charity challenge to trek for a week in the Grand Canyon in October.
I feel fantastic. The best decision I ever made was made just over a year ago, my life is like night and day.
So, if you're thinking about the surgery, or just post op and wondering why you did this to yourself - remember, it really does get better and better the further out you get.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!! you only need to loose 18 lbs to be in your Goal,, not much,, and I'm sure you will loose them soon.

On the 11th April it will be 1 year for me...
It's the best thing i ever did, and i'm so proud of myself...my weight now has slowed down too, and the only thing i hate about this op is losing my hair but then again there has to be a down side too. Anyway babe, good luck and all the best in your future xx

I was also a year ago, and have not lost anything since November. I am happy with my size though, an American size 8. It seems that for many, you get about 8 to 9 months of weight loss, so I would say; make the best of it during that time. I would have definitely lost more if I had more discipline. Actually, I would probably be losing now if I had more discipline!

I just had my final appt with my consultant this evening and he said its quite normal to loose a lot in the first 9/10months then plateau for 6months or so then you loose again. - so thats good news.
I agree, Im totally happy with where I am, I laughed out loud in a changing room in a shop on saturday when I had to ask the sales girl to swap my UK size 12 top for a UK size 10 as it was too big!!

Sarah, that would be fantastic if the weight loss kicks back in! I would not be opposed to losing another 20. When I track it, I am getting about 1200 calories so it really should result in some loss, I will let you know if it happens!
