    Default Help, I am stuck

I know it has been a minute since I have been on here, but life has kept me pretty busy...running here there and everywhere.

I need any suggestions to help me. I have been in a stall for 6 weeks now. Seems once I hit my 80 lb mark, my body is like WHOA, STOP. I went for my 6 month check up, and the doc said I will have stalls, just keep up what I am doing, as (of course), you are probably losing inches (that is what they always say). He said that once my BMI gets down to 30, then my body will fight against it more. But my BMI is 35, so it is just a stall that I need to work through.

I have been measuring my meals, and drinking my fluids, increased my gym days to 4-5 days a week, and .... nothing. I go up a couple pounds, then back down to the 80 lb mark. I don't appear to be retaining any fluids in my legs (like I did in the past). What can I do???

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

I don't really count my calories, as the majority of my intake is protein. I don't see the inches...but I really haven't from the beginning.

I know this might sound crazy, but I've read it a number of times from others on here - maybe you need to actually increase your intake a bit. Especially if you are working out more, your body needs to know it is getting enough in to support it, or it will hold on to what it has. I've read quite a few times where someone increased their calorie intake by 100-200 calories and started losing again. Just a thought, and good luck!!
I may be a SLOW loser, but I'm still a loser!!

My doctor says anytime you find yourself in a stall journal all your food because you are probably getting too many carbs. I have been thinking about this for a while now that as we loose weight our bodies will automatically burn less calories to keep us alive, at the same time with each day we are farther from our surgery date which allows us to eat more with a goal of 1000 calories by the one year mark. How the heck is that gonna work? I will be eating a lot more but my body will be burning a lot less. No wonder our weight loss slows down to a crawl after a few months after surgery. Unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet

Have you been measuring yourself, not just on the scale? I was STUNNED by the changes in my measurements (hips, waist, bust, neck, arms, legs.)

I'm in the exact same boat. I track everything that goes in my mouth too. I rarely go over 1000 cal, usually under and never over 40g of carbs or fat. Super frustrating. I keep going between 70 and 72 pounds and I can't seem to bust out of it. Good luck to you and if I find something that works, I'll pass it in!

    Live life with no regrets...
    Lost 20 on pre=op diet!
    80 lost since surgery...
