    Default favorite protein bars?

I'm on solid foods now and looking at other options for getting in my protein, especially in the mornings. My mornings are very rushed so I usually have a shake in the morning. However, I have a hard time getting down 8 oz of shake. I picked up some Nature Valley protein bars but they only have 10 g of protein and a few too many carbs for my liking. Which protein bars do you like and where do you buy them?

Quest Protein bars all the way!

Quest Low Carb Gluten Free Protein Bars - Official Site

20 grams of protein, about 17 - 19 grams of fiber per bar, and tons of flavors. My favorites are apple pie and mixed berry bliss. I also like the strawberry cheesecake, cinnamon roll and the coconut cashew isn't bad either. They are on the pricey side, but so worth it in my opinion. Plus, if you don't like the idea of artificial sweetener, they have their all natural line, which has about 30 - 40 less calories per bar than their original line, and are lower in fat. Excellent product!

Only bad thing: you can only buy them online. I tend to get them from their official website if I am ordering individual bars. If you want them by the case in all the same flavor, you can find them on Amazon.

I've looked at so many but haven't found one yet that I even want to buy. I did buy some lightly salted dry roasted peanuts 166 calories, 6 carbs, 14 grams of fat and 7 grams of protein.

I'll keep watching to see what others do. Thanks.

Walmart and Target sell several bars that you can buy individually, and if you like them, they make several in boxes of 6. Clif bars are yummy to me, with lots of protein! I also love Luna Bars. They have 9 grams, but they are SO GOOD! I keep one in my desk at all times.

I have bought a lot of protein bars from BariatricFoodSource. They have lots of flavors. I like the marshmallow bar, the peanut butter delight (taste like a Reese pb cup), caramel delight, they even have a chocolate chip cookie... And they all taste great to me. They range from 10-15 g of protein and up to 150 calories each. Check them out!

I cant handle "bars" at all. They are too heavy and just sit there. I look for the "wafers" instead... My absolute favorite is PowerCrunch French Vanilla and Peanut butter (they have a few others flavors - Ia m not a chocolate fan at all, but they have that and berry too). Power Crunch French Vanilla Wafer Cookies by BioNutritional Research Group - FU-1003 - at The Vitamin Shoppe. These are actually "cheap" too - i can buy them individually at walmart for $1.22 each, and VitaminShoppe has them on sale online for $14.51 /box of 12 most of the time (and the stores will always price match their website if you ask them!). They have about 14g protein, about 10g carbs, 12g fat, 200 calories. I usually break them in half and eat the halves separately so its more like a "100 calorie" snack thing... I also eat them with little tiny bites and savor the flavor in my mouth - they are THAT good to me!

My second favorite is the ISS Oh Yeah wafers vanilla and PB - Oh Yeah! Protein Wafer Peanut Butter Cup by Oh Yeah! - IS-1020 - at The Vitamin Shoppe. They are a little chalkier though, so I keep them around mostly for a little variety.

I also like powercrunch. My favorite is peanut butter fudge. The only problem is you can't put it in your purse because it is fagile.

Pure Protein Peanut Butter Chocolate bars are @ Walmart. 20 grams protein, they are pretty good, I think a 6 pk box is about $5.99. Good to keep in my purse for those times when your'e away from home and it's time for protein.
