    Default Healthy Frozen Dinners

Hi guys just had a quennstion. I live by myself and sometimes I don't cook I just eat a microwave meal. I try not to eat them so much because of the sodium and other stuff, but they have a good amount of protein. I always eat protein first then some of whatever is left. Is this ok or should I start eating something else.

I buy the Lean Cuisine cafe classics, but only the ones where the carb grams are under 20 grams. They are about 8 oz. of meat and veggies, such as the turkey with green beans, the garlic chicken with creamed spinach, or the beef tips with broccoli. I grab one of these for my lunch sometimes when I'm running behind schedule in the mornings and don't have time to mix up some tuna salad. If what you're doing is avoiding the potatoes, rice or pasta that come in other frozen meals, you're probably doing okay. But why spend your money on those big, full meals? Just buy those little Lean Cuisines and save a little $$.

I wondered the same thing. At my job, I usually have about 20-25 minutes max to eat and that is typically interrupted. I need something healthy, digestible, and quick. I'm not to the point of being able to eat these just yet (as I'm 15 days post surgery) but my mind is ready for "real" food, and I'll be glad when the time comes!

Sometimes I eat the Atkins frozen breakfasts (the farmhouse sausage egg scramble one is awesome and it lasts me three meals). Just have to watch the sodium for the rest of the day but I agree sometimes the microwave is my bff

I am still pre op, but I would think throwing together some slices of turkey, some low fat cheese and some kind of veggie on your plate would be as time consuming as nuking a frozen meal. And healthier.
Or, when in doubt and running out of time...protein shake!

LOL. I always liked George Carlin's routine where he talks about oxymorons such as "Jumbo Shrimp " and "Military Intelligence".

Inside some of us is a thin person struggling to get out, but they can usually be sedated with a few pieces of chocolate cake.

My doctor said that it okay to eat these frozen meals ( Lean Cuisine, Smart One, Health Choice, Akashi). Smart ones have some great meals with a lot of protein.
