    Question Muscle loss and uncoordination

I can't say that I've ever been really coordinated in general, but I noticed that my workouts keep getting worse. Even when I first start out, it's like I keep leaning to either side on the treadmill and can't walk straight, leaving me stuck hanging on to handle bars when I walk. I can understand that when I get up to higher speeds, but it's a constant thing.

It also feels about halfway though that my legs are impossible to move, specifically my right leg. I can hear and feel it dragging on the treadmill, which is not usually the case. My left arm and leg are both my weak links, even though I have less muscle regardless in my right leg. And then afterwards I don't have the energy to do anything else, like work on my arms or core. That part I get, I'm just going to have to split it up, but I'm not sure if that's normal or not.

You really need to see a doctor. You may be weak from not eating enough, or it could be something more serious. Get it checked out.

JayJay: I had surgery 7 days after you, and I do not have any energy left over from my day to work out yet. I am getting 1000 calories per day and I can't see myself having the energy to even go to a gym. I am still losing weight, and so I don't think that I really "Need" to work out yet. I am getting plenty of exercise cleaning this house, doing laundry, and running my kids to and from everything they do. I don't know if low energy/ low calories is your problem, but it could be. If you are losing weight at a decent pace 2 lbs per week or so, then you may not need the stress of working out on a treadmill.
Your body might not have the fuel yet.

I am going to weight until my weight loss stops for a good while before I employ methods of "working out". When it stops, then that will be a signal that I need to work harder in order to get to goal, then I will go ahead and do what you are doing. Until then, forget it.

My father had the gastric bypass surgery and expereinced similar issues. Felt like he was loosing muscle mass, tired, loss strength. He up'd a lot of his protein and mixed around how he took his supplements and started feeling better.
You got to get checked out to be safe!

Well done for doing the exercise but as everyone has said, it would be safest to have yourself checked out by your doctor. I hope it all goes well.
