Has anyone tried this product for their hair? I'm thinking about ordering it and I'm wondering if it works.

I just use bioten. I'm 3 months post op and so far have not lost any hair.

How much do you take? I take max strength, I think it is 5,000 mcg a day.

I have been taking 10,000 mg of biotin daily since Before my surgery. Also my hairdresser has me using Nioxin hair products. I also added hair, skin and nails vitamins as well. I have very fine thick hair and have been growing it out for 5 years, so I really don't want to have to start over. I am only 5 weeks out, so only time will tell.
I ran into a friend that had Gastric Bypass done 8 years ago. She asked me about my hair. I said that I started to loose some. She said there is really nothing you can do or take to prevent it. But she did say that there is a shampoo at Walmart in the pet section called Mane and Tail. She said it really thickens the hair. SHe said she used it while she was dealing with the hair loss. SHe said no one needs to know you are buying it for your own personal use!!!
I did it all. Biotin, nioxin, and now I just picked up a new shampoo that I'm going to try. I got past three months without losing any hair and thought I'd be one of the lucky ones. Then came month 4. Sigh. At six months out I have noticed that I'm not losing near the hair I was before, but it's still coming out. It was already baby-fine, but it's always been fairly thick. Now not so much.
One of the BEST products I've found is something you can get at Walmart. It's in the Big Sexy Hair brand, tall red can, and it's called Root Pump Plus. You spray it at the roots of your hair when it's damp and then blow dry, and you can actually FEEL a difference in the texture of your hair. I love it!!
