I'm 7 months and have been losing very slowly- don't know exactly why but I just try to be positive about the weight I do lose and all the little good things that come out of this- like needing new clothes- I took over a month to lose 4 pounds recently- you have to be patient, I know if I exercised more it would come off faster and I'd look and feel better- it will come off-

Have you calculated how much calories are you eating? How much calories is the protein water?

Did you lose a lot of weight post op?

Your body is still healing. It sounds like you are doing everything right, and I bet a HUGE weight loss is in your immediate future. Take a few days away from the scale. I know it's frustrating, but this WILL work for you!

At 3 weeks post opp I stopped losing and didn't start losing again for 2.5 weeks. From what I have read here everyone goes through this stall. Be patient and keep eating like you are suppose to. Remember your body in concentrating on healing right now...you will lose again. I had surgery on Halloween 2011 and after going though a few stalls..last one being the last 3 weeks... My scale told me today I have lost 64 pou
nds to date. I noticed that every time I had a stall..I was stressed and as soon as I stopped stressing I started losing again. So the best advise I can give is....do what you are suppose to do and don't stress it...let your body heal and be patient. It will happen.

Just stay positive and work at it. I know it's rough when it's not coming off and have been there many times. Looks like a small amount of calories in protein water which I wouldn't think would add up too much. I stuck to water with lemon for drinking all day. As for activity, I had to go beyone what I was accustomed to. Doubled the walking I was doing and periocially increased the distance as it seemed as I got use to it, it no longer seemed to help much.

Hope that helps and good luck! I'm sure you'll start seeing further results soon!

Be sure to take your measurements---I thought it was stupid but I did it anyway. When i hit the slow times I just remeasure and see my body is acting like BUDDY LOVE and Professor Klump!!!! Just keep plugging---remember we have shocked our bodies and they absolutely are adjusting all the time. Blessings- Connie

This is such an individual journey, what someone else loses does not mean that you will lose that, so many body shapes & sizes, different levels of metabolism, weight loss before surgery, activity levels but it doesn't mean that what one is doing is better than the other. It can be frustrating but as long as you continue to do what is best it will show up!! As hard as it is only weigh once weekly I have found that the scale was stressing me out and I kept judging myself so harshly. You got this, take a deep breath & continue on this journey!

what are the calories and carbs in the muscle milk? if I remember when I went to purchase them they were high in calories and carbs and sugar. read the lable and be sure your not getting to much calories and carbs. get in some good ol water also. You are not failing, it will start to move off you, we all have been through this. you have to give it time, but be sure to drink plenty of water, and watch the calories and carbs. good luck write us next week and tell us how its going!

You are doing fine. It will come off! Everyone will lose at different rates, but everyone will lose. As far as the muscle milk, I had read a long time ago that the best protein drink, not just the nutrients but taste as well, is the premier protein drinks that are available at Costco or SAMs club, or online. They are 150 calories and 30 grams of protein. I am nearly 1 year out and still have one everyday for breakfast.
The stalls will happen, it seems that I would lose for a few weeks then stall for a couple weeks. I am now at a normal weight, healthy bmi and am wearing a size 8! You will get there, be patient

My advice? Quit looking at that scale for a week or two, focus on what you eat and how you feel, and come back pleasantly surprised!
