    Default Losing weight fast enough?

Hi! I've been a little disappointed in my weight loss. I had my gastric sleeve surgery on November 1, 112 days ago, and have only lost 37 pounds so far. That doesn't seem like that much to me.

I've added cardio 4-5 times a week and have been watching what I eat. Any thoughts to help a sista out?

join myfitnesspal.com and track what your eating and what your burning to make sure your balancing yourself out. Watch the carbs, make sure your still eating your protein every day, make sure your not over doing it on the sugar and fats as well. How long are you doing cardio for? I am 71 days out and have lost 50 of the 100 lbs I need to get off to meet the standard weight for my height and I stalled for like 28 days as well. Everyone progresses at a different weight but if your not exercising and eating right your body will stall as it will eat up all it can and wont give your body anything to live off of. Thats the only advice I can give you. If your doing 30 mins or 60 mins of cardio and burning 300 or 500 calories you have to find a way to supplement those calories depending on how many you eat in a day. I get in about 500 and burn about 500 but I make sure my last meal of the day is a protein shake and a low fat yogurt or something to give my body something to survive off at night.

That's fantastic!! Congratulations on your progress!

I'm doing a little over 60 minutes of cardio (Zumba). I was drinking sweet tea (what was I thinking?!), but cut that out a couple of weeks ago. Now, I'm drinking decaffeinated tea with truvia. That has helped tremendously and has been counting as my water intake!

My doctor is very strict that I should only be eating 3 meals a day, no snacks. He wants me to eat 700-800 calories per day as well. My trainer wants me to eat small snacks. How much are you eating?

I've been a little bit discouraged with my weight loss, too. I had surgery Dec. 30, 2011 and have only lost 27 lbs. I stalled actually after week 3. I am walking about 45 minutes -an hour a day and doing weights and lunges every other day. I know my muscles are affected because my legs are so tired that they are shaking when I am finished. In the past discouragement has been the cause of my failure because I don't see why I should try with the excessive exercise if it's not working. Oh, I don't eat any sugar and fats make me ill so I don't go that way either. So all this to say, I do understand your disappointment, Teenawhite. I hope that your weight loss slump gets better, and soon.

We can do this! We just have to keep working on it every day. Our bodies have adjust and we have to adjust to our bodies. At least, that is what I'm going with at the moment!!

Teena... Keep in mind muscle weighs so much more than fat! How are your clothes fitting? I just got off a 2 week stall and can tell you that I know how discouraging it can be when you se the great progress come and go. Chin up, big boy pants on and tell this thing you win! Height, weight to start and age play a big part too. The less you have to lose the slower it comes off. Think percentages of body weight not pounds.

Trailnurse, I think I may be someone who can't eat ANY Caribs at all. I'm going to cut them out completely and see what happens. It's very frustrating

I am carb free now with the exception of a small amount when I hike. I feel better now when I don't eat them.
