Dr. suggestions in Mexico?

I've been researching the gastric sleeve, done in Mexico...any recommendations as to who to have it done by? Also if you're a self pay, how long do you have to wait for your surgery?

I didnt get mine done in Mexico, But it seems the ones I hear most are Alvarez, Alamnza, Joya, Ramos -Kelly in no particular order.

I went to mexico and had DR Rod as we all call him. I called in November and had the surgery Dec 12th as I had to save the $6800 for the surgery and needed a month to do it. He was amazing as was his entire team and the staff, the hospital is beautiful and I am very happy with my results. I went to Juarez which is right outside El Paso.

Like Braylinsmommy08 I to had Dr Rod. Him his team and hospital in Jurez.were amazing and they can schedule u next week if u have funds best of luck its the best decision I have ever made

Dr. Almanza from TJ is excellent. They can get you in, in about a week. Very clean place with a great staff.

I agree with PATSYGILLIGAN. Just got back from Dr. Almanza in Tijuana, Mexico. They can get to you in one to two weeks. Very clean, better stocked that most ER's here in the states.

My surgery was done exactly 2 weeks ago today by Dr. Almanza. The cost of the surgery was $4,500 and my hernia repair was another $700. I highly recommend Dr. Almanza and his staff. I waited 4 months but that was by choice. I needed to wait until after the new year for FSA to start over and to work around work deadlines. One lady sleeved on the same day had made her decision the week prior to surgery.

So far, I have had no complications or problems and haven't taken/needed any pain meds since the morning after the surgery. Good Luck!

My recommendations would be first Dr. Alvarez. He wrote a book and is very knowledgeable on the gastric sleeve. If Dr. Alvarez doesn’t fit your budget, there are others. I like everything I’ve seen on Dr. Garcia. Dr. Almanza is probably the lowest priced option. There are few that I DON’T recommend. You can pm me for that list.

I did quite a bit of research and I came up with Dr. Garcia at Mi Doctor hospital in Tijuana. I had considered Dr. Amanza but he doesn't work out a hospital he has a clinic. I am a self pay and I booked it yesterday for March 15th, the cost is $5000.00.

Visit Ready4achange website, I booked Dr. Garcia through that. Alma, the patient coordinator is very helpful. Just fill out the form and she will contact you, no pressure or anything.

I use them also and Alma has been great, several email and personal phone calls on anything u need answered! My surgery is scheduled on March 20 th w Dr Garcia, join the group on him so we can support each other, i would love to know howthings r going for u guys using Dr Garcia
