    Default bras

Okay, I'm down to a size 14 from a size 20 in pants, I can put on some large t-shirts (down from 2X) but I'm wearing the same bras. I know they're too big, and hate how my breasts sag in them (I never let them sag in public before, and I'm afraid I'm getting used to it), but I've never liked shopping for bras before, now that everything is changing it still seems daunting. I think I can still get them at Lane Bryant but what about after that? Maybe I should look in Penny's first since they are cheaper, but that's just so daunting all of the options they have available.

Well, just writing this has helped motivate me, by Sunday I will have new bras.

I understand. All these changes in our bodies and with weight loss our clothes and underwear and shoes change. I have lost 30 and am still wearing same bra but it is just around the corner that I will have to go shopping to. Make it fun. There are some really pretty ones available. I do not know your weight loss but it is fun to go down down down. good luck

First of all, congratulations on the weight loss!! That is amazing!!

Secondly, I know exactly how you feel. I have always prided myself with wearing a right fitting bra. I love the plunge style from Lane Bryant. I also noticed that my bras are too big and am totally bummed I missed the "buy 2, get 2 free" sale that Lane Bryant always has. I didn't want to buy any since I know I will continue to deflate!! I am sure you can still shop there, but just in a smaller size. You and I both need to just make the investment in a couple of bras until we reach our final goal. I am dying to finally get into Victoria Secret's bras!! Good luck and happy shopping =)

I hear ya girl. But, may I recommend that you find a shop that measures your girls. Once you are in a bra that fits, it will be life changing. I've been fortunate, I never really gained weight in my breast. But my trauma of finding the right fitting bra just about did my head in.

I went from a barely (from what I thought I was) a there B, to a almost filling the cup C to what the hell do I do with these Ds.

On every part of my journey, I went to a small shop and found someone to measure and put me in a bar that fit. When I thought I was a D I was actually a Full C. Now every manufacturer tweaks here, and fills there. Once measured, the shop should be able to find you some bras that will be pleasing to you.

JC Penney is a shop that I believe can measure you.

Lane Bryant will also measure you, and they often have a clearance rack. They might be weird colors - but you know you might not be wearing it long, so it's all good, right? If you have previously been measured into a Lane Bryant bra and don't feel comfortable getting measured again, then try going down 1 cup size and 1 number size. My girls have definately gotten smaller - I am currently wearing a 46DDD that is gaping at the sides. I'm hoping to be able to walk in, grab a 44DD off the clearance rack and call it a day....but who knows.

I'm going to second Lady Di's advice about getting a proper fitting. I have always struggled with bra sizes, never knowing where I fit into the crowd. It was really tough to be a plus-sized gal with only a B rack...most bra manufacturers don't make B's after size 38, and I needed a 42. When I finally went to a lingerie store where a bra specialist measured me, she confirmed that I needed a 42B, and she had some in stock. We found the perfect one. Of course, it cost me $60 (for one bra!) but the comfort and proper fit and support were priceless! So I bought four of them, all in beige, and that's all I've worn for years. When they wore out, I replaced them. Now, 44 pounds later, these wonderful well-worn bras are being hooked on the tightest hooks and the cups are crinkley, so I know it's time to go shopping. Don't laugh at me, but today I was wearing a sweater, so I inserted some push-up pads from another old dinosaur I had in my inventory to give the girls proper shape in the comfy bra. And so, it's time for me to go shopping for new lady undergarments myself. I dread it too, since my lingerie store has since gone out of business. I may have to trek into the town 20 miles away to go to another bra lady who knows what she's doing. GROAN!

Oh yeah, and did I mention that it's time to throw away the big girl panties? They are baggy in the seat. Definitely time to do some shopping!

After my weight loss I decided that I would stop buying cheap bras from wal-mart and would treat myself to something nice. This is what I ended up getting. My husband likes it a little
