Getting Scared!!!!!

Surgery date scheduled feb.22nd, and i start liquid diet on 15th.I was looking over the information they sent me and reading what i will be eating week/by week and things i can/cant drink etc.I dont know how i am going to do this will i do it right, I dont even know if i will have the support of getting help with it. I can already hear "well this is what you wanted" you knew this before you got the surgery", I told you, but you dont listen to me".....then i picked up the medicine, and seen i have to give myself injections, and all this medicine...worried

I was worried before surgery too. I thought I was crazy for having them take out a large part of a body part. But I looked to the results I was hoping for, and none of my fears were realized. I'm so much better off than I was before. two months later, I'm down 43 pounds. Unsupportive people will change their tune when they see the results. Ignore their lack of support. They speak from ignorance.

Don't listen to the naysayers! There will always be people who think they know what's best for you-well they don't! The time when you are on those weeks of liquid, puree, etc will go fast. Embrace this for what it is-a new lease on life!!! Look forward to the changes that are going to come your way and put everything else aside. Trust me-you won't regret it!!!!

on a life changing journey and if someone has something to say I just ignore,,,I been ignoring people most of my life anyway

Don't worry about what others will think. Until they have walked in your shoes they have no idea what you are going through. I only told my kids and my ex simply because I didn't want to hear all the "expert" advice on what I should do and I figured it wasn't anyone else's business. I had my surgery not quite a month ago and I was freaked out the week of my surgery but looking back this is the best thing I ever did for myself and my kids. I'm already off my blood pressure medicine. Be strong and follow your heart. Good luck

Thank you all so much, im trying to stay positive...and not listen to the nay sayers i always been the type to try and make others happy before myself and i told myself at least for once do something for yourself because you want to, for my health and happiness. I look forward to the new beginning and I know that if God bring me to it, he will bring me through it and with the support of you all as well, makes things ease up....God bless

Dont worry about the diet!Your new tummy want let you do anything that it is not ready for. During this time is when you loose ALOT of weight!! Enjoy the NEW you There will always be people who dont approve of anything! Best Wishes

The exciting part is you will LOSE a lot of weight very quickly but make sure to exercise so you don't end up having LOOSE skin.

yes indeed i will be moving, i been worried about loose skin. Also i have been planning on changing my BC which im currently on the depo, which also people say make you gain weight and since i been on i notice i was picking up weight but my doctor said it was just me..but im looking forward to this, not as scared as i was...thanks @ll
