    Default New to the Site

Hello im Shon, and im new here to this site. I had the Sleeve done January 10, 2011. And so far I have already lost 33 pounds. For the most part im very happy with my surgery. It has been a big adjustment to the eating change, and I guess not ever being hungery really helps when you live in a world where everything is centered around food. I hope continued success with this process, and the same to everyone else out there!

I have a question, you both have weight goals similar to mine, and I'm wondering how tall you are? When I see people's track of loss and before/after photos that is what I always am wondering. I am 5'9, 256, and I would like to loose up to 100lbs. I have had people tell me I don't look like I need to loose 100 lbs, and, although flattering, I always think they are just being polite. LOL Height makes a difference in how the weight looks on each individual, and it would be nice to have that comparison as well. Know what I mean?

Same here Tniagirl. My friends at work and family cannot believe that I have/had 117 pounds to lose. I am 5'6" and large-boned, but always maintained good posture and dressed professionally. They are astounded when I tell them 100 or more lbs., and that I was morbidly obese. I just don't really know if they are being kind or sincere all the time. And I don't care. My goal is MY goal, and my dietitian agrees. Now that I've had the sleeve, I believe I'll actually get there!

I am 5'5, and I am also very large boned, so my Kidney Dr. wants me down to about 170. So if thats his goal for me then im fine. I just want to be under 200!! I can't remember the last time I was under 200, maybe at birth, lol who knows. But thank all of you for the warm welcome. I really like this site, and have been reading it all morning.
I also have a trainer and he tells me that he would have never thought I weighed what I weighed at first, then when he measured me he noticed how solid I was. Not flabby or fatty. No loose skin or jiggly stuff, so he says that also makes a differencein how you look.
