If you wake up and are thirsty you should drink water, but I wouldnt be setting an alarm. You can eat ice, but it takes a lot of ice to equal a glass of water. Eat ice chips often, but still try to drink as much water as you can. The water drinking does get easier

I didn't wake up in the middle of the night to purposely drink, but if I was up I took some sips of water. And I think ice is just as good as the water...it was easier for me to do ice chips than drink at first. Good luck!

I'd keep it by the bed and if you wake up wanting some, sip away! But don't lose sleep over it, literally.

if u wake up you should definately try to drink a little. I am not usually that thirsty but have to force myself to drink sometimes in order to stay hydrated. I have found that ice and sugar free popsicles are helpful, especially if you are super thirtsy. I tend to chug and that ends up bad.
