So expensive!!!

Something no one ever warned me about and that's the sleeve is going to cost me a fortune!
I have gone from a size 22 to 6/8. This means new everything! Suits for work, dresses for church and work, workout clothes, pants, shirts, panties, new shoes (I lost about a size in my shoes) I have spent a small fortune on clothes lately.
Also, when my husband says, is that another new dress. I can't use the line, "oh I've had this" Or "it's been in my closet". Because of course it's new. Although I have been shopping at consignment stores, I've spent $1000's on my new wardrobe.
The sleeve is expensive!!!! But love my new cute clothes!!!

I feel for you. I've had to buy a few things here and there but trying to avoid it. I look liek a schoolkid wearing his dad's suits to work now. I won't get a new suit until the fall though. The building I work in has a green initiative and they don't turn the AC up very high so the companies have a lax summer dress code with short sleeve shirts and no ties so I'll just have to get some of them.

I'm looking forward to actually enjoying getting clothes. I've never liked it because it was just something to best cover the gut. It must feel great to get clothes knowing you want to be seen in them.

What are you doing with your old clothes? I would and plan on donating them all to Goodwill and then taking a tax deduction. Keep track of your clothes and save on your taxes next year. Helps take a little bit of the sting out of the new wardrobe. Congrats, what a difference!

my old clothes I did a combo of consignment, donations to places like goodwill, and gave some to friends & family.

Wow...u look great....sell old clothes on ebay to get some money back...and shop on ebay too...i plan to be a regular at the thrift store till i lose all the weight....

You look wonderful! Congratulations!!!! I have lost weight before, so I do know how expensive it can be. But the real kicker is, I grew out of them again. But this time you and I both will not be gaining that weight back so these clothes will get plenty of wear and not get too little. No more of "the dryer shrinking the clothes". lol

Money well spent. The other thing I've done in preparation - I had the sewing machine serviced so I can take things in to extend their wearability.

You should organize a change up wardrobe group at your doctors office. People post their sizes...you wear and give them to someone else when too big. As you all go down in size, you switch up the clothes. Unfortunately my doctor is out of town so I can't participate in his.

I exercised. Worked out with a personal trainer 2x's. And I box 2 x's a week. nothing else special.
