This actually provides proof for my comment in your earlier blog. When I was trying to explain true research to you. I fully agree with a statement provided in the link you provided:
"Most of the current evidence comes from poorly designed nonrandomized controlled trials and case series and therefore, there is not yet enough evidence supporting the recommendation of LSG as a definitive, stand-alone procedure for morbid obesity".
So see I wasn't trying to dismiss what you were saying just trying to explain it to you from a scientific perspective (and the fact that most of the research was correlational). This does appear to be promising research for those with comorbidities. However, if you do read some of the articles (that involve the significant and non-signifcant results) you will see that some of their findings did not indicate significant differences on several variables. Which I am sure once they are able to do more in the field to make it true research it will be even more valuable because cause and effect will be able to be established.
I am very interested to see the research that will continue to be provided.
