I've been absent from the forum for the past few weeks, dealing with packing up three rooms for remodeling all the sorting, purging, many many memories and many more emotional highs and lows. Today while volunteering at my daughter's high school for a Jazz Band contest I realized that four months ago I was waiting in the hospital in Tijuana for my VGS --- now she and I are sharing some clothes!! I am wearing mostly larges and size 14's, but I also have some mediums that fit really well as well. My watch band is down four holes as well! I am down about 40 pounds and almost half way to my goal!!!! Some days I am really hungry and yet others I am not interested in food at all -- I have found that bread is not my friend any more, I can have a piece of toast or a piece of bread but only about once a week -- pizza crust is a real no no. I love making smoothies with frozen berries, Greek yogurt, and pre mixed protein drinks -- I get to have half and freeze half for the next time -- it is almost like having ice cream! What a treat!!!
My sleeve is a good thing and has changed my perspective on my eating habits, cravings, and choices. Now, I find that my kids are eating their protein first and making better food choices. As I write this I realize how far I've come, but know that I still have work to do but I have the tools needed to accomplish my goals!
