I haven't been active on the site for a while but I left myself a note on the calendar to come back in one year from surgery, if for no other reason than to give soon-to-be sleevers hope that life...
We'd all be telling lies if any of us on this site says they weren't scared right up to the second they put you out.
The scary part and recovery is over before you have a chance to blink. Stay here...
Sup all... Been a.f.k. for a bit to work on my back-to-school-adventure. These kids today run circles around my old homework skipping self.
So coming up on 3 months out and all is good minus a...
I would just make sure you plan on plenty of rest stops for walking about. Also, road trips for me were always fast food havens... bring plenty of healthy snacks... You'll be 10 days out so look at...
Hope all went well!!! This first week might not be the greatest but it gets awesome real quick. WALK WALK WALK!!!
I would give it a bit of time. Do the clothes check... Just cause you're not losing the weight, the fact that you're eating seems decent and you walk as much as you do might not show on a scale but...
33 pounds! That's an awesome amount!
Good Luck!
Right around the corner!!! Good Luck!
Cons - getting overzealous which happened to me around week 3. Keep taking your time and following instructions. Dumping syndrome sucks and getting over-full that first time is a quick and not so fun...
We all get nervous and have the "do-I-really-want-to-do-this" thoughts. My nerves were shot right up through surgery and even during that first week PostOp. If you've done your research and are...
Seconded... I was told up to a year for Alcohol and or Caffeine?
Doctor, Doctor, Doctor... Check in with the Doc/Nutritionist because you should not be clear liquids only after 7 days.
I would think flight time would be the main concern. How long is the flight? maybe some aisle stretches and a quick walk up and down part way through the flight?
You look awesome!!! GRATZ
I'm sure it must be a tough path and I'm sorry you're going through it. That said, I agree with the above; If you can't stave off the desire to binge than a sleeve won't magically fix the problem.

You could try changing routine with the vitamins. If you normally try to take them in the morning but always forget cause you're groggy for example, switch it so that you take them late in the day....
That sounds crazy - hope all works out in the end. It sounds like a lot of pain; wishing you the best.
Join the club! I think my scale addiction is worse than my food addiction!
In my program, the only restriction about weight was that I couldn't gain. Staying the same is better than gaining!...
We can't all be perfect! (HAHAHA couldn't resist!!!)
Don't force yourself. You can get sick of nothing but liquids REAL quick. Use this week to take some time and just enjoy your food. Try...
I have two boys, 11 and 9, and I don't think I could catch them even if I get 20 lbs under my goal weight! What an awesome reason to lose weight though.
"any tips?"
Read the hell out of this...
I'm a big fan of the elliptical. My Doc said do whatever, whenever, when I got out of surgery so don't take my ideas to seriously. Follow your Doc's advice and take it easy. I also like Dawnislas'...
HEY!!!
Welcome aboard! 3 weeks gonna fly by... Good Luck!
Are you exercising? Going to the gym, riding a bike, even just a long walk when I've had a bad couple eating days always helped me get back on track. Especially before the sleeve.
