So I am 7 months post op. It has been a long winding poignant road. And It has been a while so I am about to drop the knowledge of lessons learned.
1. You still have to diet (but not really). I...
DO NOT WEIGH EVERY DAY! My mother who has bypass 5 years ago told me never to buy a scale. Go with how you feel, and if you feel you are not losing, evaluate your routines and activities change them....
Thank you!!!

So I am slowly trying to transition into a normal (as possible) diet. It has been very difficult. The last two to three days I have been beyond nauseated. I had to breakdown and get a prescription. I...
I have been so nauseated too! The only two things that don't make me sick is low-fat low cal vanilla yogurt, and V8 Splash.
So I ended up having to stay an extra day in the hospital. I never passed the barium test, but was finally allowed liquids on Wednesday. Everything was gross to me, and drinking really really hurt....
WOW. Congratulations!!! Keep it up! Keep us posted!
Well my mother who had gastric bypass 4 years ago and lost 150 lbs insists that I can eat real butter. I do not have high cholesterol and no family history of it. But I do watch my fat intake.
Try to EAS Lean shake...it is so much better than slim-fast.
That sounds fantastic!
OOH wow that is scary!
I am using him. Only saw him the first consult, but his staff has been fantastic.
Any suggestions on ones that are not tasty but not a wallet-buster????
Yes I am doing my pre-op diet now. Just loaded up on Bariatric Advantage shakes. Thankfully I can have up to 6 a day so I'm not hungry!
