Sorry it has taken me a while to respond. I am glad things are going well for you. Has your infection cleared up? Have you tried protein shakes now? How much weight have you lost and how are you feeling?

I am doing good. Had a couple of "low energy" days last week due to not getting enough protein. found a shake i do like- designer whey protein powder strawberry flavored mixed with lite silk (soy) milk and 1 splenda. Two a day and I feel a lot better. So far, 37 pounds lost. Walking each day, able to eat a little better.

Hey Monk, I'm glad you felt better. I think we all felt 100% better once we were back and around our loved ones. I spoke to some of the ladies who had the surgery with us and atleast one of them had lost 22 pounds so far. I have lost 15 to date. I am super excited. Well keep us posted as some of the ladies have asked if we have heard from you.

I am having my surgery with Dr. Almanza on the 29th. How was your experience with it all? Was there something you wish you would have brought that you didn't?

Feeling a LOT better. Pain wasn't really an issue with me (although it was for some). Mostly the nausea, which has pretty much subsided. Concentrating on fluids right now and healing this sleeve. Thanks for all the well wishes. IT's great to be back home with the family. Met some really nice folks there and hope they are doing well too.

Hi! I'm having surgery w/Dr Almanza June 5 so I will be following your story with baited breath. I am both excited and terrified, but mostly excited. Like you, I'm just ready to get it over with and move on with my life!

Starting to get nerveous, the day is really near!

stay strong, unless you are where we are people dont understand. me waiting was the hardest thing. it has been 5 days after my surgery, I am still trying to get use to my new body. I hate drink slow, sip here sip their sip sip every where....

Thanks and best of luck to you too. You are right about the time left before surgery... I'm very much looking forward to knocking it out and moving on with life, but nervous at the same time. Not really telling too many folks either - cause they'd think I'm nuts.

I live near Brookfield (North of Columbia to Macon, then West about 30 miles).

What part of Missouri (or as I call it Misery) do you live in? I have all my relatives live in Jeff City and Columbia and in between!! Congrats on your April 4th date!! Mine is April 11th and it seems like it is going by slow but fast at the same time. Your kiddos are so cute!!
