I am on vacation this week and went to visit my brother and family. It was nice outside, so my niece and nephew (both 14) asked me to play catch with a baseball. I used to love baseball, by my weight stopped me from playing about 20 years ago. I thought, what the heck, and put on a glove and went to the back yard. I am finally out of clothes to wear from my "less fat" side of the closet! I started out in size 26 (or tight 24), and now am between 16 & 18! I've waited too long for some of the clothes and they are now too big!

First off I am physically doing well, blood sugar is under control, I am not hungry, and I get in my vitamins, protein and most water every day. I hit a stall two weeks ago today I finally lost one more pound. Even though I've lost 18 pounds this month, I get easily discouraged. My husband had the surgery one week after me and has lost 30 pounds and lost 4 clothing sizes. He doesn't even exercise! I walk at least 2 miles a day, do an exercise program on Wii, and climb stairs at lunch!

I have appreciated the comments on this message board and learned a lot from the people who have been on this road longer than I have. I am at 10 days post-op, tolerating my protein, walking, vitamins, and walking very well. The gas still comes and goes, but walking regularly works well. I have lost about 11 pounds since the surgery and I am happy about that. I have a lot more energy than I had before the surgery. The biggest difference, and my real goal for having the surgery at all, is that
