Got your message-yes-it does sound frustrating! I'm taking my own pain meds, as well. I mean, you had your sleeve doen there, so you know how it is. I know a couple of women who hve had the boobs done by Dr Lara. I will ask them if he does behind the muscle and get back to you.
Are you still planning on using Dr Lara for your cosmetic surgery? I'm going July 14th for a tummy tuck with him. Was originally going to have the whole Mommy Makeover deal, but changed my mind. My boobs are good (already have implants), so why mess with them? Let me know your plans.
OMG I love your avatar! Cute!!
I forgot to tell you how lovely you look in that photo to my left, gorgeous dress and hair! Also, don't fret about not being able to do the body lift right away. It'll give you time to watch other people's and see if the results are what you want. I'm working with about 3 different surgeons I might use and am happy to share info and I'm a long ways off...need to lose the weight first, about 100 lbs. first and it's best not to lose it quickly, easier on the skin. Surgery's in 2 days, still a lot to do before then! I can't wait till I lie down in the gurney and get that Versed and take a nice long nap...
It's going down here in California, my surgeon is Aileen Takahashi she is a USC grad and medical director of surgery at my hospital. She's board certified and does not play games if you gain more then two pounds pre op you get bumped out of your slot, I'm lucky to have her. I'm her poster child, she moved my surgery up a month and pushed someone else out due to them gaining weight. I've lost 52 lbs in 10 weeks. How? This site, my fittness pal, and support groups plus all the life style changes . I'm in this to win it. I quit smoking, drinking, and got rid of the girlfriend she was not supportive she was still drinking and smoking. So im hitting the ground running! Thanks again for the positive vibes
I'm doing well surgery is the 28th I'm as ready as I can be. I made so many life changes to list, I'm one that gets it I've lost 52 lbs pro op as of today. Im only 40 years young, no wife or kids, own a house at the beach, own my own business. I have my whole life ahead of me! I'm lucky. Have a great day I'm going to!
Love the avatar pic ! That's how I feel everyday
http://www.gastricsleeve.com/forum/g...ersations.html I just posted in the thread "Emotions".
Yeah, it's good for your skin, I'm assuming it will take 10 months to 1 year to take off all the weight, if my body cooperates w/ my idea of goal weight, that is. My body will make all the decisions...I'm part of a group called Kaiser Conversations so if you ever want to know what I'm up to you can read there...you don't have to be a Kaiser member to post there.
Good, got some nerves, trying to do everything that needs to be done before Wednesday, Tuesday afternoon, actually.
Miscommunication and drama on top of having surgery in a foreign country are more than I'd want to deal with and I'm really glad you're past it. I've not been told how much weight to lose yet; I'm still in the beginning of the process, having attended Orientation just last week. My next classes/information gathering session will be in October, so I guess I'll know more then.
I just read about your trip to Mexico w/ Dr. Almanza. I'm glad that my insurance has finally decided to cover me and all I have to do is follow instructions and lose some weight. I'm glad you're recovering okay but wow, what a lot to go with! How was it going through customs? I know you were worried about it before.
How are you, dear? It's been awhile and wanted to check in. How are you doing?
Docs and medical stuff were great. Just crap for being told one thing and having another happen. Does it matter that my hubby slept on a couch? Of course not! But the point is having been deceived. No biggie now, of course. It's all done and I feel great and I'm just starting on mushies today! Very exciting!! Are you seeing Dr. Almanza? From everything I read, all of the docs down there are fantastic.
What upset you in Mexico? Was it something to do with your support person not having accomodations or the actual surgery or doctor?
