I am doing great thanks! I feel really good and now being on liquids has helped. The clear liquid stage gets old really fast! I have one more week of liquids and then I move on to soft foods. That will be nice.

I am down 20 pounds in two weeks, so I am thrilled. Let's hope it keeps up! Take care and thanks for checking in!

Hi everyone! Thanks for checking in for me. I am feeling great! Yesterday I had my sugary around 11:45 and once I got the "happy drugs" I honestly don't remember a thing until being back in my room. I was VERY tired, so I slept a lot of the day.

I walked around the halls a few times and I had no problems. I can't wait for ice chips or water. My mouth is really dry and raspy due to the tube, but it doesn't hurt. I was seen by nursed constantly and dr Alvarez's staff is incredible! I have not idea how I am going to fo weight loss wise, but I would it over again in a second!

One strange question. I have not told anyone bug my husband I am doing this. How did oo possibly do you feel about talking about your surgert on the site with pictures? Dr Alvarez is a wonderful and i want too help him, but I am reallh private as well. Iwill let you know how today goes. Thanks again!

Kacey, it makes perfect sense that you might be a little nervous. The good thing is that Dr. A has done over 1500 hundred of these surgeries. That is one crapload of surgeries. You have made the best choice for your surgery. Yes, I am sure that people's perception of Mexican hospitals is a little warped. But, it is often natural to be afraid of the unfamiliar. Keep focusing on your life after surgery and you will grow in confidence about your decision. This is nothing but a means to a more healthier you! Go Kacey!!!

Hey Girl. I had surgery on November 8/10 and my starting weight was 255 and this morning i weighed 162 so I just have 7 more pounds to hit my 100 mark. yahhhhhhoooooo. My goal weight is 145 so hopefully it won't take too much longer and I will be there but all in all I am very happy. I wore the hospital gown until they took the iv out and then I put on some yoga pants and a t-shirt and I was quite comfy. I didn't really need a lot in the hospital. The one thing that I was glad I had was chapstick because my lips were really dry. Are you nervous? I was a little nervous but everything was really wonderful and the staff were incredible. I would do it again in a minute. I see you are friends with Arkansas Belle. She and I both went to Dr. Alvarez's yearly reunion in May and I would say if you can make it to the next one that it is so much fun. We were in Vegas and Dr Alvarez and Susan were so nice. Good luck with your surgery! You will do fine! I am scheduled to be there on 6/28, so I will be just missing you. The team is great and will take great care of you! You are in the best hands. I was scheduled back on 5/26, but had an allergic reaction to the anesthesia, which caused me to have to abort the surgery and reschedule. Take care!
