    YAY!!! I have my surgery date, it is Jan 13th I am so happy . I started out on this site because I was going to go for sleeve from band. But healthwise things have changed and I am gonna have the gastric bypass done. So I guess i will begin my threads now either on that site or on Bariatric Pal. I have enjoyed my time on here and wish everyone the best of luck in their journey's.

    Tomorrow is the day for class for for bypass surgery. So I get to find out the diet before and after the surgery ...then Tuesday see Dr. I can't wait...I am kinda getting exited and a little anxious

    Well after seeing nutritionist and Dr it is official that I will definitely be getting the bypass surgery. With test results back from some tests including one that shows I have a very slow metabolism and under-active thyroid, this is the best option for me. So December I go to class for bypass surgery then everything gets submitted to insurance company for approval . So hopefully end of Dec. or beginning of Jan. I will be having this done.

    Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Unfortunately I have not had my surgery yet. It has been pushed back due to insurance requiring six visits with a nutritionist instead of three. I had just forgotten to change surgery dates on here and as of yet still not scheduled for it. but posted one up so I can keep the doctors name on here. Thank oyu all for the support you provide me it is so great

    Hello, my name is Teri. I came to this site looking for information on the gastric sleeve. I have been banded since Oct./09 but the band doesn't seem to be working for me. If I had known then what I know now I would never had done the surgery. If anyone knows of any complications from the gastric sleeve I would love to know about them.

Well so far dietician visits are going well and learning what to do to make some changes to better help me with my journey on weight loss surgery.. Had my Psychological eval done which went well also. But Dietician and Psych. both asked if I had or would consider gastric bypass instead of sleeve. They both asked for different reasons.
