I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.....its hard to deal with things like that....especially when you are so focused on yourself. I can see tho how it would put things into perspective for you. Hang in there tho...time doesn't heal but it does help.

I'm doing alright....I'm down 126 lbs now....7 months out. I'm getting around better than ever, driving again, etc. The weight loss has slowed considerably but I'll get there. I'm joining a gym and going to start working out as much as possible. Hoping that will boost the weight loss again.

YAY!!! Congrats on your surgery date!!! Thats amazing news. I'm so happy for you! I haven't hiked any mountains yet, but really looking forward to it for next year. I'm a lil over 6 months out now and have lost 121 lbs! I'm driving again and getting around a lot better, but not quite there yet. I can't wait til I can get rid of my cane for good! haha I'm gonna step it up a few notches....start walking as much as possible....it just gives me horrible knee pain and I don't like having to take pain killers. Something I'm going to have to deal with I guess. Overall, I'm doing really good tho! Was good hearing from you!

Hey! Thanks for checking in. The wedding was GREAT. I have been travelling a lot. Going to Denver next week, then Pasadena. Heading back to Maine to take my parents to a Toby Keith concert... plus taking my sister to Luke Bryan. Should be fun!! How are you doing? What is your status!!?

Dr. Almanza wanted me to do the liquid diet for 10 days prior to surgery. I was very steady and made it 6 days without solid food. I finally gave in and had some very lean protein. Boneless skinless turkey breast and some venison. The final two days were all liquid again.

In the run up to the surgery, I lost 13 pounds. I was miserable the entire time. Of course, now, it seems like a lifetime ago even though I was sleeved only 9 months ago.

Good Luck to you and keep us posted on your progress!! This will be the best move you ever made if you follow through....

No I will be done my 6 months program the end of September so they said my surgery will be the first week of October mostly likely. When will yours be?

Hey, how are you? We will be having our surgeries fairly close about a month apart. It's getting close we will be sleeved soon I'm super excited to find people having surgery around the same time as me.
