I'm sorry your husband is not being as supportive as you would like- I think, for some men, they have to actually see something happening before they understand- you know how they say men are not fathers until they physically hold their baby in their arms? He may very well become interested and attentive as your surgery date gets closer and he sees it is absolutely real. In the mean time, I suggest attending a counseling group- there is usually one attached to any major area hospital if you don't think there is one specific to the place you are having surgery. Its nice to have the support of others as you prepare.

Hi.... Thanks so much for your kind words My starting weight was 260lbs when I began the pre-op diet. I had to lose 25lbs before my surgeon would do the procedure. I lost 30lbs and was 230lbs the day of surgery. Today I am 162lbs! I still have 27lbs to lose to reach my goal weight, but considering I am only 4 months out from surgery I have no doubt I will be there soon. I'm sure you will do great. Just make sure you exercise. It's so worth it
