I think your message to msvtrn on the post about Mountain Dew might have been better handled directly to her in a private message. She is giving her response in a public forum and is entitled to her opinion on the post, as you are entitled to yours. While i can empathise with your feelings, two wrongs don't make a right.

I can understand you feeling worried when your children are young ..i too am nervous everything is a risk. My children are young adults and I haven't told them..that's another story entirely...they are in England. Today my stomach is growling and I am trying so hard to not think of food...but of course I am..I haven't had headaches ..are you drinking any water? Just find it hard to go out and be sociable I was invited out to an coffee shop/ restaurant today and I at the last minute declined because I didn't want to put myself in a situation where I was watching others eat. I will be glad when this part is done that's for sure. I hope you feel much better soon and you can do this.. I will keep encouraging you..take care Hev

Yeah my first day went well was difficult in as much I was thinking about food and needing to go the small room every half hour but you know there are worse things in life.. I feel remarkably ok really. This morning my stomach feels just ok. My husband eats downstairs and I try not to go where there is food to remind me. I got on the scales this morning and have lost 4 pounds how amazing is that! So yes all is good. Tell me how you are doing/feeling about life. And are you near a beach with a name like that? If so I am so jealous. I lived an hour from the sea back home in England and I so miss being able to just get int the car and drive to it. How did your first day go? I too hope it flies by..not ideal drinking all these sweet protein drinks but it has to be done! What are you drinking? I am drinking surtax nectar and they were not too bad but the Atkins protein were too sweet for me....
