Surgery went very well, doing great at home. That was Half Moon Cay in the Caribbean. Loved the view there. Thanks
  2. Thank you for the sweet compliment! My daddy gave those eyes to me! Lol

Thanks for the message. I have had a pretty smooth ride I think. First night was difficult for me because I had some hiccups (gas reaction I think) and some dry retching (either post-anaesthetic or reaction to naso-gastric tube), by mid=morning next day with ng tube out both had gone. Like you I do have one particular area of pain - the largest incision which surgeon said he stitches internally. It hurts a lot every now and again. but tends to decrease as the day goes on and I've been moving around more. Got good regime of pain medication, and a supportive hubby to help with those. My fluid intake is increasing each day and I feel comfortable swallowing and taking in small amounts. So, all to plan. Glad to hear you're past the worst.

Thanks. I am going to a nutrition meeting this morning. I am down about 80 lbs in 4 months so no complaints. At my heaviest I was 6'4" and 361 and just getting in and out of cars was difficult. I'm down to 280 now and am still losing. Best of luck to you and your surgery date and I hope all goes well!

I have been doing great since my surgery. Best thing I have ever done. I had to go to 2 nutrition classes and go to 1 support group. I also had to go see a psychologist 2 times and that was it besides the pre-op requirements EKG's, blood work, etc. I also had to see my primary physician for 6 months because I had to be on a pre-op diet which was an insurance requirement (I have BCBS of Illinois).
McNutt is my married name and to my knowledge we don't have any direct relatives outside of the Tennessee area, but I'm sure somewhere down the road we might be cousins!
I wish you the very best on your surgery and if you have any questions please let me know.
