I started my journey over 4 years ago. My original goal weight was 160 pounds. Today, I sit happily at 120 pounds. It hasn't been easy, not one bit. I'm still mindful of everything I eat, knowing the bad habits could sneak right back up before I even realize it!! I do, in fact eat what I want, I just know when I need to put the fork down. My best advice I adhere to 100% of the time is that I never, ever drink with my meals. Not ever!! For all to see getting started, you really can do this!!

I would love to phase out my protein shakes, but I drink Premier Protein that has 30g a serving. I found their bars, but noticed they have 290 calories. Does anyone know of a great bar that is excessively high in protein, with fewer thatn 200 calories and 5g of sugar?? Thanks!

I woke up this morning with a constant pain in my right shoulder blade. It has remained all day. If I move a certain way, it will cause a sharp pain through my whole mid section. Even if I just yawn, I will gasp in pain. Right now, it is throughout my entire middle back area. I never experienced any pressure from the anesthesia, but 5 weeks out seems a little long to have it start now. What could it possibly be???

So, I'm only 11 days post op and tonight I ate about 2tbsp of mashed potatoes with a little gravy. Please tell me that isn't so bad...I feel awful about it...Now I just imagine little pieces of potatoes healing in the pouch of stomach...also
I've found that last couple of days I can consume larger amounts of liquids at a time. Is that normal? I can drink a whole 11 ounce protein shake in about 45 minutes...I am so worried about stretching my stomach out already...

So, I'm finally all sleeved. It has been a tough few days thus far. I was the first case of the day at VCU, which was great. First, no one could get an iv in, that tookabout 6 people and as many needles. As soon as I woke up, I was so nauseated I couldn't stand it. I was dry heaving all afternoon and then threw up blood clots in the evening. They changed my meds around, took away the morphine and started delotid. Then, I was totally unaware of how awful the upper GI would be. That was probably
