Hi sleevers! I am 31 pounds down so far and I hope to hit my hallf-way to goal mark very soon. I have 11 more pounds to go to hit it. The weight ls is coming off me very slowly, but I must admit I have not been doing my part as far as exercise goes. That however, is about to change. I joined a gym and will force myself to go everyday even it only for a 30 minute walk on the treadmill. WIsh me luck!

How are you doing? I'm new here and my surgery date is 3/4/13 w/ Dr.Curry. I read some of the things that some people are saying about him but I'm not at all worried. I'm ready for my surgery!

Hello Sleevers!
Today is my 1 month surgerversary! I seem to be doing fine and so far have lost 21 pounds. I had my check up today and bought some of the medifast protein drink mix while I was there. For some reason any kind of protein shake makes me feel sick, and prior to surgery I had enjoyed them. Anyway, I have found that the fruit drink mixes seem to go down well and I enjoy them. I also like the Dana Greek-lite yogurt. Both of these are great sources of protein. For the next 2 months I will be on soft foods.I am looking forward to having salmon and steamed veggies! I am walking everyday now , although I get very tired very quickly, but walking a little is better than nothing , right?

Kity, did something go wrong? I thought all of his surgery's were out patient or were you scheduled to be an in patient? Prayers being sent your way!

thanks everyone.had my surgery yesterday and ad now in hospital. each day a little better.

Yes, I have read some of the bad reviews and it is scary, isn't it? I will be sure to let you all know how everything has gone as soon as I am able. I can only say that doctor Curry has been great with the people who I know who have used him and his staff were very diligent with them.

Kity, Have you read any bad reviews of Dr. Curry?? There are 2 people on here bashing the heck out of him and I am really worried. Scheduled for 10/17

I have bad and good news. My blood pressure is no longer being controlled by 1 medicine , so my Primary care physician has added an additional medication. The good news is because of this, my insurance company has approved me to get the sleeve!!! Yea!!!!! I am so excited, and so scared!! and so excited!! Now just to figure out when I can fit the surgery into my hectic schedule. I am a full time student and we have just begun a new semester. How many days should I plan to take off?

I went alone, all transportation was provided to and from airport to hotel to hospital to hotel back to airport. It was a very good expierence. I documented it on youtube, my user name is secretsleeve on youtube as well.

I am not sure. I was denied by aetna , had it appealed then was denied again. I saw where you had gone to cancun for your surgery, and I am very tempted. Did you go alone to have it done or did you take someone along with you?
