Well I'm about 5 1/2 months post op and I'm heading to Vegas with the family today. Not sleeping well tonight cuz of nerves. i've flown quite a few times but I still get anxiety-ridden every time :-). My husband and I went alone last summer and he'd never been before. He wants to take the kids to see the Blue Man Group (he absolutely loved those guys:-) and to see the V for Variety Show. I am excited to have a good time. May go down and gamble a bit at the casino but worried about temptations like free beer and carbonated beverages. I may just go to the Walgreen's on the strip and pick up some non-carbonated beverages to take down with me just so I'm not tempted. Looking forward to the exercise of walking between casinos and shows but not the heat LOL. Of course I live in Texas so it can't be THAT much worse. No sense in going to buffets here with the little amount my sleeve can hold :-). If we do go, I'll get probably half a plate and that's it lol. I can eat a bit more now than I could at 3 months out but it's still not very much. Dr. Almanza sure as hell gave me a good tight sleeve! I can still only eat about 2.5-3 ounces at a time and I am stuffed. Kids have never flown before so this will be an adventure. One is a teenager but we still have a young one and she is 10 now. Hoping all of the naughty nude card hawkers with numbers for strip bars don't bother us too much. I'm just going to tell my 10 year old that there are nude beaches or something in Vegas for grown ups if she does happen to notice them. There is a downside to Vegas lol. But all of the SHOWS that are available there are bar none. We are also excited about going to the Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage and the Sigfried&Roy lions :-) Anyway, wish us luck! Flying with two kids who have never flown before and the fact I get so anxiety-ridden until I'm in the air should be interesting lol. Once I'm in the air, I'm fine :-).
