Chronic gastritis, virus or nickel allergy/staples

Hello folks,
Checking in.
Weight is stable but for now that's ok. I hurt too much to care about losing weight, just fine with not gaining.
I've been having stomach pain since last Aug, common thought was that it was my gallbladder, which stopped functioning.
Had my gallbladder out earlier this year and the pain didn't stop so I had an EGD and I have chronic gastritis. Yep, my poor sleeve is all inflamed.
Docs have thrown every test out there at it and can't find a cause. My bile reflux is fine, I don't have h pylori, etc, etc.
Current thought process is that it's either
1. Enterovirus, which folks like me with CFS are prone to after an injury (in this case surgery)...
or
2. Staple allergy. This is the lesser likely one but having done homework by calling the company that made the staples used on me I found out that titanium staples are routinely 10-14% nickel! I was pretty pissed to find that out. When they tell you titanium, you think pure titanium. Not so much.
So, Melisa testing coming up for titanium and nickel.
If it is not that, it's a virus and all I can do is treat it with my naturopath's help and wait.
If it is a nickel allergy I'll have to meet with a surgeon to see my options because the staples would have to go. Oy...
Until then it's live with it.
The hardest part is I just can't get protein down easily, it hurts, a lot.
So I'm doing smoothies twice a day and the rest is mushy food as if I were just sleeved because it's pretty ouchie in there. Pic of gastritis attached.
Hope all are well. Wanted those with known nickel allergies to know about the staples. Please understand it's not common but this is where folks come to find out all about the possible issues so it seems a good place to throw it out there.
I'm still hopeful that when this clears up eventually I'll be able to drop more weight. Right now my body is busy just trying to heal so I'm not going to subject it to an 800 calorie diet. I'm eating 1200 cal a day, gluten and dairy free and taking a handful of herbs and probiotics several times a day.
Otherwise, life is pretty peaceful and house is on the market to hopefully sell and move closer to my kids, the pool and my docs.
Miss you all but sometimes it's just hard to be here.
hugs
