Hi there! Sorry for my late response. You are choosing an amazing surgeon! Dr. Ortiz and the rest of the staff at OCC are the best! I have kept my weight off and still have a good amount of restriction. My surgery was April 16th 2012 and I lost all of my weight (140 lbs) during the first year post-op. In July 2013 I got pregnant with my son who is now 11 weeks old. I gained around 35 lbs during my pregnancy and lost it all within 3 weeks of giving birth. I feel fabulous!!! Having this surgery was the best decision I have ever made!!

Reading your posts make me feel I am choosing the right surgeon for me. I don't see tons of people on here using Dr Aireal Ortiz but the ones that have seem quite happy. I hope you are still doing great. This is my biggest question. Do the majority of sleepers keep the weight off say 5 and 10 years down the line.
