    Calling on the ladies... Did anyone have to stop taking their birth control pill prior to sugery? I take the pill to keep from having "stay in bed for days" cramps and would hate to have to stop. Thanks!

  3. Borderline BMI for Insurance to Cover Sugery

    I hope someone can help with my question...

    I am 43 and have been overwight since age 8. I am 5'3' and fluctuate between 220 and 225 pounds. In the process for surgery I am on the 6 month dietician portion prior to my doctor going for autoriztion. Now, if I was to loose 5 or 10 pounds I would be under the BMI of 40. Would I be declined? I have no health problems other than high cholestoral and bad knees and feet.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
