    Today was an emotional rollercoaster. I was excited (and nervous) that my surgery date is only 1 week away. But, amongst all my excitement and nervousness, our family received some shocking news.

    My husband was diagnosed with CML, a rare form of Leukemia. He started his requirements for weight loss surgery a month ago. On his first visit, they did blood work. It's from those tests that the diagnosis was ultimately made.

  3. Frustration!!!

    I'm not sure whether to scream or cry! I had my last doctor's appt on August 16. I was SO excited to get everything submitted to Cigna for approval. After about a week, I called Cigna and nothing had been sent for pre-cert. I called the surgeon's office and they went back and forth with myself and my PCP's office until Thursday, when they supposedly had everything they needed. I called Cigna, again, today. They still haven't received my paperwork. I'm completely frustrated and tired of dealing with ...
