Surgery on HOLD for 2weeks due to Bug!

They called me Tue. Saying all my blood work came back fine, but they found a bug in my stomach called plura/pluria however you spell it! I have never heard of it, I did not know what it was untill i asked my sister in which she said she thinks its from like not washing food, or something idk she could be wrong so if anybody knows please tell me. So they are putting in for me some antibioics i have to take for 2wks and then we will go from there. I am honestly getting discouraged because it seems like there is always something, happening right when i am about to get ready for surgery, is it a sign???? I know at least they want to make sure I am in good health and dont want nothing to keep me from healing quick as should so thats a positive. Idk what to think now, im just praying and holding on untill.

It is better to be safe than sorry. Glad they caught the "bug" and are getting rid of it now. I know it is frustrating but it will be worth it in the end. You can hold out a little longer, two weeks will fly by.

Thanks ladys! I know better safe then sorry. Im glad it was found i didnt even know it was there, but gives reason to why my stomach has been hurting i thought was gas/hungry/or hurting from where gallbladder was tooken out maybe. I have to take 10 pills a day and then they also want me to take 2tblets of pepto 4 times a day!!!! I picked up my medicine and she told me 63$ I was like dang what kind of bug do i have??? Well i 2 also hope i get better 1st of all and hope it worth the wait...

You will do fine. My son had the same thing several years ago and after the meds never had another problem! You Dont want them to operate till all is clear You are very lucky that your Doctor caught it!

Time will fly. Can you imagine if they went ahead with the surgery and they couldn't proceed with it? You are so much better waiting the two weeks and knowing that your recovery will be a good one.
