Starting Liquid diet today for Surgery

Time is quickly approaching. It will be here before I know. I really am ready for this. I am ready to start my new life. I know I will have jitters the day of, but I have to be there at 5:30am, and surgery scheduled for 7:30am, so not so much time to sit and stew for very long. The two week of the pre-op has really helped me. You learn that you don't need to be eating all the time. The cravings have gone away for me. Maybe I just know that this is what has to be done. I wish it was tomorrow!! (I know, I know, patience!!)
Maybe I can get some patience when I go to the hospital, LOL! I highly doubt it, but it is a thought!!

Hope the diet gets easier for you. Don't beat yourself up. It was only day 2. I promise it does get easier!!

Wow Yvette, I can only have 1 protein shake, sugar free jello, sugar free popsicles, broth and water. So u even have more than I can lol. I had some popcorn the other night but have told myself to get stricter this week. I have done fairly well.

Tonya, I am anxiously excited too. And I have the same advantage like you that I am scheduled at 8 am so I can just get in and do it and not have too long to be "freaked out" i also have gallstones and a umbilical hernia so I am having gallbladder out and repairing the hernia, so I will be in surgery for a while!! But I'm ready to be on the other side and recovered! Good luck to you and post asap so we know how u are doing.

WOW B & K Mamma that's hard! I'm having difficulty with 3 Protein drinks..lol. Thank goodness you will be sleeved on Wednesday. I know you are happy and excited. Wishing you well and a healthy recovery.

Start my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow. I am very worried about sticking to it. I don't eat artificial sweeteners, so that limits my options. Protein shakes are in the fridge! Here we go!
