Thanks Lisa. I too strained the back of my left knee. How long did it take you to recover? You look absolutely amazing! Other then my knee injury, my sleeve has been the best experience of my life. I am 4 pounds away from goal and hopefully I'll look as good as you do Thanks again.

Thank You for your story. When I went in for my six week, they told me my new goal was 40 to 50lbs by November. I thought they were nuts!
Your smile speaks to how proud you must feel. Congrats!

Congratulations!! I know that there are some people who have gotten below goal and that had a hard time stopping the weight loss. One I know personally is my cousin's wife. She is so bony now that it was scary to hug her. I think she is trying to gain some weight back at this point. It is less likely to happen with the sleeve than with the bypass but it is possible.

    Starting BMI 2/3/2012 - 38
Goal BMI-24! REACHED and BELOW!! 10/2012 Current BMI 21.0!
The best goals reached are the ones hardest earned.

You look great Lisa. Congrats on reaching your goal and beyond. I am 6 months post-op and down 72 lbs. I cannot believe that I am at the weight I am at already. I feel wonderful, have tons of energy, do not get hungry ever -- but am plagued by the "head games" in relation to food. My dietitian actually wants me to increase my caloric intake -- which feels like the opposite of what I have always done when I dieted on my own. I still fear getting on the scale and finding that it is moving the other way like it always did before, not that it has. I am just so surprised that the surgery has made losing weight so much easier. I track every bite that goes in my mouth and I don't feel the urge to sneak eat like I did 6 months ago. The protein shakes are still my favorite and easiest food to consume. Chicken is out of the question, and eating out is a waste of time and food. This surgery has changed my life, so much for the better.
I'm doing "me" this time around.

you are very lucky..I am ten months out and have not lost any weight in five months..not for the lack of trying..my surgeon doctor and my regular told me that this is all I am going to lose and I am still hovering around 200 pounds now that sucks ...

~ doesn't think she'll ever reach her original weight, no matter HOW hard she tries. Hell, let's face it, 8lb 10oz is not very realistic is it?

Rylynn, don't believe, I didn't lose for 5 months because I was eating all the wrong things. Switched up habits, all of a sudden weight loss started again.....

No, I never dreamt I would have to think about losing too much weight! I know not everyone has the results I have had, but I am so very thankful that this worked for me. I've decided that if I get down to 140, it will be ok. One interesting thing I wanted to share with everyone is that even after 18 months, my stomach is still about 4 oz in capacity. I can eat about 3/4 of a greek yogurt which is 6 oz and then I'm full. So happy about this!!!!!

That is good to know Lisa because I wonder about that. My doctor's office says that it is impossible to stretch the stomach back out again, but I have heard it has been done. I don't feel that I could physically overeat now even if I wanted to, and I want that restriction for as long as possible.
