yes Jamie i am curious too. My eyelids were done by him & they turned out nice but the aftercare instructions were nil. An older lady i shared a room with had her cosmetics done by him & she looked amazing. & she was back for more.
Cosmetics? Meaning plastic surgery? Sometimes cosmetics can mean just stuff like make up, sometimes it means cosmetic surgery. I like to be very clear since there are so many different terms.
Did you see her before surgery, holly? I really wish Dr. Lara had before/after pics but I have heard great things about him.
What was the story w/ your eyes? That's one of the facial surgeries I want.
I saw her before surgery but only briefly...shed had the gastric sleeve done by him awhile before & some face procedures & breast aug. & tummy tuck. But this time she needed lipo & breast reduction & got her upper arms lipo'ed. She looked good but she was in compression garments. She spoke spanish so it was hard to communicate with her. I gather she was happy with the results or she wouldn't have come back. I saw her pay the attendant so it wasn't to make up for bad work. My eyelids were looking droopy & hooded & i knew i really wanted this for a few years. Its looks great now but afterwards it freaked me out...so much swelling & bruising & seemed to take a long time to heal, but everything came together nicely. Most ppl here will call plastics cosmetics as i have learned but u r right...its better to check it out. I went to Dr. Lara becuase i am frugal...whether or not i se him again for more cosmetics i'm not real sure yet. There are all inclusives on the tropics that i am interested in...time will tell.
Has anyone not had sagging skin after getting sleeved or should I expect it? I read if you tone the areas where sagging occurs you can prevent sagging skin after weightloss surgery, is that true?

It's very individual-the only way to really know is lose the weight and see whether you're left w/ sagging skin. Toning will help some, but not all individuals...think about a stretched out rubber band or balloon. If you've only gained weight once and lose it once for the sleeve you have a really good chance of it snapping back. Also age and genetics have a lot to do w/ it, it's a case by case basis thing that you can't know until you get there.
I met dr. lara when i had my sleeve done and i did have him fix my nipples. they went inverted after having them pierced and the scar tissue drew them in. they are alot better than before but he told me this surgery is 2 parts, so i'll have my second surgey on them when i have my mommy makeover. i called about getting some before and after pics and mellissa said she would email them to me soon. thay have this girl on facebook Sharon Ward who had the mommy makeover if you go to her profile you can see a few pictures and they do look great.
Just FYI, Dr. P's quotes include unlimited lipo for the same price (swap out the buttock augmentation for the implants) however I notice that Dr. Lara charges the same price for an upper body lift as he does for a Mommy makeover, according to this site, which is quite the deal:

However, I wonder what the recovery from that is like...you'd literally have nowhere to lie to recover...and it's a lot of trauma to the body all at once. You'd probably need a month in a RH.
Here is one. I know I have seen some others but I can't find them.
