    Default flying to san diego

I have not flown since i was 16 yrs old, and want not that over weight. I am now right at 300 and am flying to San Diego to crossover to Mexico for surgery with Dr. Kelly. Will I have to pay extra for a seat, I heard this at one time, or just ask for an extender....can someone help me out here??? Thanks!

Last time I flew I did need an extender at 300. If you tell the attendant quietly on the way in they will just hand it to you soon afterward.
I was flying alone, so I booked a single seat in the front. Sometimes on the smaller flights they have these single seat rows.
When I fly with hubby, we sit together in a twofer so we just squeeze in.
I think each airline has it's own rules on paying extra.

Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.

You will be fine. I was 300 and my niece was 350. Thy will give you an extension without making a big thing out of it. No extra charge. Good luck with the surgery.

Last time I flew I was about 50 lbs. less than I am now...and I noticed last time there was not an inch to spare, I'm worried that I'm going to spill out, but at least it will only be all over my Mom

Get the seat extender and just know that will be the last time you need it; for the trip to Mexico! You will literally start melting soon after your surgery!

Ditto what the above ladies said. I chose the window seat so I could lean over and feel like I had a little extra body room. I needed an extender. The flight attendants are very discreet about giving you one, at least in my experience they were. It's rolled up and they just palm it to you.

I don't know when I'm flying again, but I pray to never need an extender again!!!

    Good luck to you!!!

If you fly on delta you won't need 2 seats. You will be more comfy with an extender. I am getting sleeved by dr Kelly on 12-12 so we may cross paths. I am starting the liquid on monday.

I had never had a problem on a plane or ever needed an extender until Sept of this year. It was actually the final factor in making my decision to have this surgery. I will be flying to Dr. Kelly on Dec 8. I can hardly wait!
