Vegas is for everyone!!

Hi everyone

I have been getting a few messages from people asking if the Vegas trip is for everyone.

YES it is!!!! We have arranged this meetup for the 18/19/20 of May 2012.

It started off as an idea and has grown into a reality! If you are a member of this board, you're invited!! In the forum posts Gastric Sleeve Events And Meetups there is a post about list of names. If your name is not on the list and you would like to join in the fun, just follow the instructions in the post. The list is for people with both a yes and a maybe just to get the approximate numbers.

I have block booked 30 rooms at the hotel. Please see the hotel posts in the same forum. If we need more rooms, we can get more, this was just a starting point.

I'm LOVIN' it! OK, Mr. Activities Director, what do you say to a Texas Hold 'Em Tournament? Hmmm? Also, how about our very own fashion show? We may need to book a meeting room at the hotel for the latter, and there would be a fee for that (so we could have a cover charge) but I think we could do it! Also, just a thought, since that "other" convention is happening over at Bally's, how about we book a van or bus to take us over there for one of their activities? I think they are offering a line dancing night for all the newly slender and active people coming to that meeting. Since they're in town as well, we can crash their party...we will fit right in with all those other surgically-altered, healthy lifestyle folks! (By the way, for those who don't know it, I'm actually an Events Manager in my real life...so I have lots of ideas and lots of resources...but that aside, I am happy that Michelle and Jersey John are doing the planning. This is going to be a weekend off for me! (but I'll help if you guys need me)

I have just come across this - thinking about joining you. I don't gamble and DH doesn't want to come - so just kinda wondering what will be going on/what is there to do? It will be fun to meet fellow sleevers!

i think it'll be cool if we all get together to make sleevers friendly food meals., since we are staying the whole weekend, maybe we can plan few of those meals ahead of time... if we can gather more info- such as everyone's food stages.. can't have's or wants? it'll be a good learning activity for the newbies and recipe exchange opportunity for the vets? if we ask nicely, do you think they'll let us use the kitchen? afterwards, we can go casino hopping.. woot woot!
