Ask your doc! ( now you knew someone would say that, right? lol )
I was allowed only to walk or water walk until week 6. The elliptical may use your stomach muscles more than you should..... you aren't all healed in there yet!
But kudos for wanting to get going!

I agree, Always ask your doc first.. I have a treadmill sitting right next to my elliptical. My doc said no cardio for 8 weeks, so the treadmill has been my bff since week two. You WILL lose even if you're just walking girlie ~ just make sure you follow doctor's orders

I had my surgery 1 day after you... I got on the elliptical last week and again, twice this week. My settings were 10 and 8 x 3 to 4 miles. I felt great... no problems. I had been doing this prior to surgery and just picked up where I left off. I was warned not to do any heavy lifting so I have been careful not to do this. I was told that I could do anything at 4 weeks including golfing... Just have 1 more week until I'm back to golfing... YEAH!
