My hands have always been tiny. I wear kids size gloves haha. But I noticed as I got bigger that my fingers got fatter too. Just like everything else about me, short and chubby haha. My pinky ring was once a thumb ring actually and I'm lookin forward to getting it back that way. It's a cheap, crappy ring and I don't even remember where or when I got it but it's like I've had it forever and I love it. I haven't worn my wedding ring in four months so I'm not sure about the size of it but it's not important right now anyway as it's very likely I'll never wear it again. I've never been big on jewelry anyway; the one cheap ring and my wedding ring were all I wore besides earrings (simple ones). I think I'll be okay without them. I have plans to return my favorite piece of jeweleey soon, my tongue ring! I just have to get it re-pierced for the fourth time (holes on your tongue close up super fast!) and I want to do it before people start saying I'm too old to pierce my tongue. I first did it when I was 18 and loved it enough to do twice more since but after my daughter was born, it was decided (mostly by my husband and parents) that it was time to give that up. But the husband is gone and everyone else can just deal because I miss it and want it back and I don't see how it would be a bad example for my daughter. She's only three but if she decided in 13 years or so that she wanted to get pierced or tattoo'd, I would certainly support her. Anyway, tangent. May we all have pretty, slim fingers soon!

There's only one thing that I know how to do well and I've often been told that you only can do what you know how to do well and that's be you. Be what you're like. Be like yourself.

Don't kid yourself, I am going to Vegas! You know what they say... Good girls go to Heaven, bad girls go to Vegas ;-)
I'm planning on bringing a solider with the intention of thanking him for his service *evil grin* ... Hey, I'm all about supporting the troops *giggles*
I freaked out with the ring situation. My fiance got me a ring in August and then in Sept I had my surgery. I was surprised when they sized me in the jewelry store as a size 6 because I have always worn a size 7 ring, even when I was in high school and at my lowest weight of 145 lbs but figured with the pre-op diet I'd been on it was possible to have shrunk a little in my fingers...but I was really freaked out when my ring started doing hoola hoops on my finger this past month because I didn't think that any weight I'd lose would affect my hands. My hands have never looked swollen or puffy or large to me in any way, I've always had long slender looking fingers...so I was floored when my fiance insisted we go back to the store to get the ring resized (it's free for life from the store we bought the ring at) and holy moly I'm a 5.5!!?!?!? I like that these little things are happening but I kind of wish I could see that kind of a difference in other body parts as well...though everyone keeps telling me I look amazing and asking me how I'm losing weight blah blah...I feel like I have such a long way to go that it's hard to get amped about my little victories sometimes.

Best NSV - fitting on a kid's amusement park ride with my 4 yr old grandson!
CFIDS =Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) Also dx with post-bariatric reactive hypoglycemia; and chronic gastritis (both sleeve complications). Permanently disabled.
Start weight 335, down to 218, up during gastritis. Have accepted there is no way to lose it with my hypoglycemia. Current weight 260. Currently doing 10 day sleeve reset and determined to get back down to my post surgical weight or close to it.
Hubby can't wear his ring much, he's an electrician working on machinery often.
He wore it to Bermuda for his daughter's wedding and lost it in the ocean while diving... so I bought him 3 inexpensive ones, steel, sterling and titanium. He wears them for family functions.
I don't worry about him cheating. He's be a fool as he knows it's one strike and you're out. Anyway, there's no reason for him to cheat, all he has to do is let me know what he needs and we'll find it together. We've been monogamous for 10+ yrs but it's always open for negotiation.

I am probably not going to ever have to deal with a wedding band but I do have some rings that were given to me as heirlooms. They are too small now so maybe I will fit then as soon as I go to the loser bench!
I personally think that 1/2 the battle is the attitude we have going into this. If we are up beat and look at the long term of this it is SO worth it. I mean ya we are going to be sore, unable to get all our liquids in and all the other stuff, but those are stepping stones on the journey. We take baby steps, then we take bigger and bigger steps. Then one day we are going to realize that all those steps took us away from our old lives and into a new life that is healthier and happier. So what if I don't make my goal below... I lost 1 pound from Friday to Monday with out trying!!! My earlobe looks so sexy now where I lost that pound ...LOL
Yeah, it does! woohoo baby.... LOL
You are so right. I'm 5+ months out and I'm just now realizing that not everything makes me sick. I feel good for a change. Have a bounce in my step. Chase my wife around the house... and catch her now... LOL
This journey is well worth it.
It actually does not hurt as much as people think. It hurts no more than getting your ears pierced. I should know; besides having my tongue pierced three times, I've also had my ears pierced three or four times (I'm always losing earrings). And tongue piercings are so much fun!
