I have sleep apnea and that is why I am getting the surgery. It is one of the only surgeries that has a 90% sucess rate to cure apnea. During the surgery you freind will be monitered and will be given oxegen. Most insurances will cover this surgery for sleep apnea because apnea is very dangerous and most people don't live long or well with it. Have her go to a surgeon, I am sure they will tell her the same thing.
