Estimated numbers for Vegas trip

i'd like to go then head down to mx for a couple days before having one little procedure done....

I'm thinking about doing the same thing! Maybe we can do the Mexico part of the trip together.

Put me down as a Maybe for 1 and possibly for 2.

Here is how the conversation went with Mike.

"Hey, the folks on the Gastric Sleeve board are going to Vegas in May. Do you want to go?"
"When?"
"May 18th, 19th, and 20th. We would need to find someone to pawn the kids off on if you go."
"You would want to go by yourself? We would need to get someone to watch the kids and its a school day."
"I could go by myself. I will be much skinnier and hotter then."
Mike is quiet. I look at him and then hug him.
"Oh, my goodness, there is fear in your eyes. What on earth do you think I would do?" I laugh.
"You might gamble."
"Yeah, I might do that but probably not."
"You might go see one of those guy dancer shows...what are they called?" Mike laughs as he is hugging me.
"Oh....yeah....the Chippendales...Hmm, I didn't think of that. Weelll, there is THAT isn't there?" I say with a big mischievous grin.
Mike laughs.
"We'll see. I've never been to Vegas."
"I've never been to Vegas either."
"But you didn't like Atlantic City. That's a smaller version of Vegas."
"I think I didn't like the fact that we were traveling through Atlantic City with our KIDS and my parents. That was a bit awkward. I kept wanting to tell Andrew to shut his eyes or for Kayleigh not to look. I might be better without kids...or parents in the car with us."
"Yeah, all those billboards were something else. Kid-free is definitely better. Did you know that they tried to make Vegas more Family-Friendly. Didn't work."
"Can't imagine why." I laugh. "So, maybe both of us if we can figure out the kid stuff and maybe just me if we can't?"
"Uhm...we'll try to figure out the kid stuff. That's several months away still."
"I'll message Rachel and figure out where they stayed and what they did."
Mike laughs, "Well, she won't tell you. Remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."


So...by that if we can find a few folks to take care of the kids we should BOTH be able to make it. If not, and I get Mike to be brave enough to let me travel to Vegas by myself I will be there.

Hubby and I (2) would love to come... I hope alot bring spouses, they experience so much. Mine has lost 11 pounds on my pre-diet. Yes, he's doing it 2 and doesn't have to. I am sooooooooooo lucky! Jersey John, ur a God send. Love the humor.

Why don't we all do the Skyjump at the Stratosphere while we are there. We have done the weight loss challenge so surely jumping off the Stratosphere has to be easy?!

As I said, never say never, but I can't possibly plan that far ahead. I have responsibility for my elderly disabled (mentally and physically) mother in law's care. Hubby would be coming with me, and he is her sole medical poa. We simply cannot be more than a few hours away even for the day, ever.
It is what it is...

We'd love to meet you Grace but I know if you can't be there in body, you'll be there in spirit. Bu as you said, never say never!

Lol, be my guest. I prefer my feet firmly on the ground. I don't do heights if I can help it, I don't jump out of perfectly good airplanes and I can't see myself jumping off a building for fun.

Wendy, I think for many of us, our spouses are a little insecure and unsure about what our new bodies will bring us/them. I really hope you can make it!
